When someone dies while visiting family, while on holiday or for work, it can be a challenging and emotional time for family back in their home state or country.. Tribute Funeral Services offers domestic or international Repatriation Service to return a loved one home.
Our Repatriation Service can be as simple as arranging the person to be Air Freighted within a few days in a simple transport coffin or we can provide a Full Funeral Service to be held here in Melbourne for those family and friends who may not be able to travel interstate or overseas for the Funeral, while we concurrently work in the background to obtain the appropriate paperwork and airline/flight bookings to return a loved one home. This local Funeral Service is at no additional cost as part of our Traditional Repatriation Service.

- Arrangement at home or in our office
- Viewing and/or dressing of your loved one in our funeral home (if required)
- Preparation of all certificates, paperwork and documents for the Repatriation Service to take place.
- Registration of the death with Births, Deaths and Marriages Registry Victoria.
- Liaising, co-ordinating and booking of Air Freight transport, with Funeral Director or family at the home state or country of destination.
- Mortuary care and Embalming to International Standards for Repatriation of Human Remains
- A Hearse and staff required for the Funeral Service and transfer to Melbourne Airport for Repatriation Flight
- Local Full Funeral Service/Viewing/Prayers at no additional cost for family and friends to say their final goodbyes

- Civil celebrant, at cost.
- Donation to the Minister of Religion, at cost.

- Bio-Seal Coffin/Casket Liner $350.00
- Personally collected BDM VIC Death Certificate for Repatriation documents $80.00
- Air Freight cost is not included and is an additional fee, at cost. Air Freight costs vary between Airlines and destinations across Australia and the World P.O.A.
- Some Foreign Governments through their Consulates require DFAT/Australian Governemt Apostle Stamps to authenticate the Travel Documents like the Death Certificate as originalalong with charging Fees for issuing a Registration of Death Certificate and Entry Permit. Allow S400.00 for these documents.
